Our goal is to treat our clients as we would treat our families and to treat our pet patients as though they were our own. Serving Greensboro, Oak Ridge, Summerfield and surrounding areas. Located just behind Home Depot in the Brassfield Office Park.

  • Mitchell Spindel, DVM

    Dr. Spindel earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1995. He practiced in Syracuse, New York for two years before he and his wife relocated to beautiful North Carolina. Although Dr. Spindel loves treating dogs and cats he also has a passion for unusual pets like birds, reptiles and small mammals, he will even care for injured birds of prey, wallaby’s, kinkajous and an occasional Coati mundi. Dr. Spindel is the veterinarian for Sci-Works in Winston-Salem, and he is active with numerous animal organizations including the Forsyth Humane Society, Animal Adoption & Rescue Foundation, and Humane Solutions. Dr. Spindel was instrumental in helping to build the Dog Park at Tanglewood. His current efforts are focused on a new building for the Forsyth Humane Society. Any free time is spent planning his next construction project, as well as mountain biking and spending time with his wife, four children and a plethora of pets.

  • Jennifer Evans, DVM

    Dr. Evans obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University CVM in 2011. A Greensboro native and Guilford College graduate, she is excited about returning to her hometown after practicing for six years in western North Carolina. Her primary interest include dentistry, dermatology, and feline medicine. She is also a member of the AVMA and NCVMA. In her spare time she enjoys running ultra marathons, rock climbimg, and being the mom of a very rambunctious toddler.

  • Paul Listrani, DVM

    Dr. Listrani is originally from Washington D.C. where, in a previous life, he owned an Italian restaurant before receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech. Upon completion of his degree, Dr. Listrani started working for Wake Forest University in animal research. Since then, he has joined the team here at Animal Ark. Outside of work, he shares his home with two cats and a dog, or as he jokes, “he just pays the rent!” Needless to say, loving animals and his passion to care for them has always been a huge part of his life. In his spare time, you can usually find him outdoors, zipping down mountains on his bike or blazing past the crowd while trail running.

  • Amanda Prejean-Veterinary Assistant

    Amanda joined the Brassfield team in 2009 when she moved to North Carolina from Maryland. She has been working with animals since 2000 and has loved every moment! When she is not working, she enjoys staying busy and spending time with her husband, 4 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

  • Holley McQuillen-Veterinary Assistant

    Holley moved to High Point from New Jersey in 2015. She has worked in the veterinary industry since 2009. She started working as a kennel attendant and moved up to veterinary assistant. She graduated with and Assosiates degree in General Science from Bergen Community College. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as her dog and rabbit.

  • Kathy Deatherage-Receptionist

    Kathy is a native of Greensboro, and has worked in the veterinary industry since 1988. She recieved her Certified Nursing Assistant degree from Davidson Community College in 1991. She has been married for 25 years with two children, Matthew and Leann. They have 1 dog and 2 cats as their extended family. She joined the Brassfield Animal Hospital team in 2014 as a receptionist. Her faith, her family and her love for animals are her passions.

  • Michelle Lahn-Receptionist

    Michelle is originally from Baltimore, MD, but moved down to Greensboro in 2006 for college and never left. She graduated from Guilford College in 2011 with a degree in Psychology and Art, before realizing her true passion was with animals. She has years of experience caring for a large variety of animals and is currently back in school pursuing her Vet Tech degree. In her free time when she is not working or studying, she enjoys drawing and spending time with her 2 dogs, cat and menagerie of parrots, reptiles and fish.

  • Diane Osborne-Kennel Attendant

    Diane has been a part of the Brassfield team since 2007. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In the future, she would like to be a veterinary technician. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a sugar glider, betta fish and 20 tropical freshwater fish. When she is not working, she spends her time on social media, listening to music, watching videos on Youtube or relaxing with friends and her fur babies. She gives each pet with the same love and attention she gives her own.

  • Kayla Stewart-Veterinary Assistant

    Kayla has been a part of our hospital since 2016. She loves helping with all of the animals at the hospital and learning new things. She has 5 dogs, 3cats and 2 chickens at home. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and photography.
